Solana Beach Coffee Co

is our favorite cafe in the area! It's very modern and comfortable, with a staff that really puts in a lot of work to make sure that you enjoy yourself. They've got the best coffee in town, fresh delicious teas, creamy smoothies, and even breakfast and lunch items that will fill your tummy on your way to work or during your lunch hour! If all you've got time for is a quick dinner before you head home for the day, you can grab that here too. And did we mention free wi-fi? Enough said! You can find Solana Beach Coffee Co at 437 South Highway 101!

Pacific Coast Grill

popularly known to the locals as PCG, is one of the most contemporary restaurants you'll find in the San Diego area. With its convenient location right here in Solana Beach, you really can't beat that. The food is an incredible fusion of several cultures, just as the establishment itself is a fusion mix of bar and restaurant. We love the murals and sculptures. Artists and creative types in particular will really love dining here.. We love the fact that you can dine with your pooch on the outdoor patio! Dog lovers take note, remember this place. You can find it at 437 Sough Highway 101!

Blanca Restaurant - CLOSED

is a truly breathtaking seafood restaurant! The ambiance is elegant and trendy, and the food is nothing short of incredible. So fresh! We love all the fresh juices and local produce that is used here, and they even use herbs grown in their garden! The patatas bravas is just unbelievable, and we adore both the cuttlefish and the ravioli! It's hard to find a higher quality place for seafood than Blanca, and when you consider the incredibly friendly staff too, you really have a winner of a restaurant. You can find Blanca Restaurant at 437 South Highway 101.

Beach Grass Cafe

is a must for those who love a really incredible breakfast! This is truly a cut above the rest. We love to start off with some orange juice and bloody marys, and then jump right into some great beach benedict! If you're in the mood for something sweeter, try the cheddar bacon maple pancakes. Oh my goodness you will not believe the flavor! They make their sausage fresh in the restaurant too. Everything here is of the highest possible quality. A breakfast like no other. Beach Grass Cafe is located at 159 South Highway 101, between Estrella Street and Plaza Street.

Pizza Port & Solana Beach Brewery

is a cool laid back place to contrast with all the high class restaurants that populate the area! We love it here. Very casual and fun. The pizza is truly mouth watering, and the beers can't be beat. Great selection, and always icy cold. There's a reason that this place has been going strong since 1987! Many reasons actually. They just seem to get everything right. Lots of TVs so you can catch the game or the latest sports news, and they've got video games for the kids too. You can find Pizza Port & Solana Beach Brewery at 135 North Highway 101!

Pamplemousse Grille

is our favorite French restaurant in Solana Beach! It caught our eye at first because of the extensive wine list that our friends kept talking about, but then the food really hooked us. The menu consists of delicious grilled meats, seafood, and fabulous side dishes that set off the flavors of that meat and fish just perfectly. The prices are a little higher than some others, but the portions are surprisingly large, and the quality is unrivaled by any other French restaurant in the area. The service, too, is superb. You can find Pamplemousse Grille at 514 Via De La Valle near the intersection with Pimlico Drive.

Belly Up

is one of the coolest bars and music venues in the area, and it just happens to be located right here in Solana Beach! It's been going strong since 1974, and let's be honest, no venue lasts that long without really being something special! Belly Up truly is in a class of its own. We just love it here. The staff is outstanding and they really pay attention to the happiness of the customers. It's all about partying and having a great time, and they make sure that you do. The tickets are cheap too! You can find Belly Up at 143 South Cedros Avenue!

Fish Market Restaurant

is a bit of a tourist trap, but if you are one, you certainly won't notice or mind it, and if you're not, you won't mind putting up with it! The food is that good! This restaurant has been pleasing their guests since 1981, and they truly have some of the best dishes we've ever tasted. We love the arugula salad and the smoked salmon, and the blackened fish is just to die for! If you love red snapper and Alaskan halibut, you will really be pleased that they serve it here! The catch of the day is always a great bet. You can find Fish Market Restaurant at 640 Via De La Valle, right near the intersection with Pimlico Avenue.

Fidel's Little Mexico

is just incredible. Mexican food fans will go wild over this one. We LOVE the margaritas, so fresh and flavorful! And the chips and salsa are just perfect! Our favorite entree has got to be the enchiladas, which are made even better by the perfectly prepared enchilada sauce! The Tostada Suprema is another one of our faves. Note that they are closed on Tuesdays, which can be a little bit disappointing when the cravings for Fidel's just happen to hit on that day of the week! But we're glad they're there for us the other six days! Try the fajitas too! You'll find this one on Genevieve Street between Stevens Avenue and Valley Avenue!

Wild Note Cafe

is attached to Belly Up, so it's the perfect place to go for some great coffee and food after you've seen one of their wonderful live performances. The macadamia nut crusted stuffed chicken breast is our favorite dish on the menu, so good that we can't seem to bring ourselves to try anything else! Our friends assure us that everything else is great too though, including the blue cheese burger! Most importantly the staff is very friendly and attentive, and they make sure that your dining experience is a great one. You can find Wild Note Cafe on South Cedros Avenue between Lomas Santa Fe Drive and South Rios Avenue.
