RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIFORNIA is one of the smaller cities in the San Diego area, with just over three thousand residents at the most recent census count back in 2000. This also happens to be one of the highest income communities in the entire USA, with most of the land being used for homes, plus one shopping strip and some schools. We really love the restaurants in Rancho Santa Fe. If you'll be visiting for business or pleasure, check out these great eateries and bars in the 92067 and 92091 zip codes.
is the absolute top of the line when it comes to French dining in Rancho Santa Fe. It's very romantic, with an impressive and well-selected wine list, plus some really creative dishes that blend the traditional flavors of France with today's modern culinary discoveries. The soups are by far our favorite things on the menu, all homemade and unbelievably delicious. We love the fireplace here too. Highly recommended for special dates and celebrations. You can find Mille Fleurs on Paseo Delicias between La Gracia and Via De Santa Fe.
Delicias - CLOSED
is a gorgeous upscale steakhouse that delivers both fabulous organic steak and a really great array of wines. They've also got a great ribeye here, and we even love the pizza. Any one of their appetizers will get your meal off to a great start too. Many people complain about the prices here, but we'd pay double that for the quality and great service that we have received! We also enjoy the bar and fireplace, and we think all of the above makes it a perfect place for a special date or just about any celebration! You can find Delicias on Paseo Delicias near the intersection with La Flecha.
Pantry of Rancho Santa Fe - CLOSED
is truly a wonderful place to dine, very casual yet still impressive enough for a nice date or even a business lunch. They've got a great outdoor dining area as well. It's true that the prices can be a bit high here, but that's true of just about any place in Rancho Santa Fe. The difference here is that most of the other restaurants in the area are almost too fancy for our tastes... this one is just casual enough to be an everyday thing, and we love that. We highly recommend them for catering too! You can find Pantry of Rancho Santa Fe on Paseo Delicias between La Granada and Via De Santa Fe!
Thyme in the Ranch
is just outstanding! It's hard to find words that are adequate enough to describe the food here. It's the highest quality possible, served with flair and a friendly smile. We really adore the cocoa cookies, the pastries, and the bread pudding. It's all so good! It can be a little busy here, so give yourself some extra time in case there's a line, or at least try to visit during the off peak hours. Everything here is made from scratch, from the cakes to the pies, from the muffins to the cinnamon rolls. So wonderful! Located on Avenida De Acacias between La Flecha and County Highway S6.
Leucadia Pizzeria & Italian
may have a name that suggests a location in Leucadia, but this one is really right here in Rancho Santa Fe. And we love the convenient location! This has got to be the very best pizza in all of Rancho Santa Fe, prepared just properly, and never greasy at all. The herbs and toppings get top billing here, really adding flavor to what would be an amazing pizza even without anything added! You can find this place on San Dieguito Road near the intersection with Calle Del Nid.
Dolce Pane E Vino
caught our eye thanks to the beautiful decor and warm and friendly ambiance, but what has kept us as loyal customers for so long is the food. The small plates, cheese, and wine are just perfect. And we love the bruschetta and pizza. They've got a great lounge area and a nice selection of beer too. If you're looking for a truly pleasant dining experience, try Dolce Pane E Vino at 16081 San Dieguito Road tonight!
Que Pasa Mexican Grill
would get our recommendation for their food alone, because it's so fresh and delicious, including fabulous queso dip and wonderful guacamole! We love their Sunday brunch. But there's more. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area here, and really great live music that will help to liven up your evening. Televisions, too, so you don't have to miss the game. You'll find Que Pasa Mexican Grill on San Dieguito Road near the intersection with Calle Del Nid!
is a great little lunch stop that serves its happy customers great salads, delicious sandwiches, and some really mouth watering Italian specialties. Breakfast is great here too! What we love the most is the old fashioned and friendly service, and of course that warm and inviting atmosphere. It's tough to find a place like this nowadays, and we're happy that it's right here in Rancho Santa Fe! You can find Ranch Deli on San Dieguito Road near the intersection with Calle Del Nid.
is always busy with many happy customers steaming in to sample the delicious coffee and pastries. If you love croissants and pain au chocolate, this is your place! Forget those other coffee shops that everybody falls all over themselves to get to! Cafe Positano is the only name you need to know. Note that sometimes there is no wait at all and sometimes you're stuck in a fifteen minute line. Give yourself a little extra time just in case. You can find this one on Paseo Delicias between La Gracia and Via De Santa Fe.
is a great night club in nearby Solana Beach that is definitely worth the short drive from Rancho Santa Fe! It's been going strong since 1974, with great bands bringing in big crowds of all ages. The ticket prices are surprisingly affordable, and it's just a great place to chill and enjoy the night with some really great music. We love the nautical vibe and the intimate atmosphere! You can find this awesome live music venue at 143 South Cedros Avenue in nearby Solana Beach!
