Firefly Grill & Wine Bar
is a very elegant place where you can relax with that special date or perhaps with a group of your closest friends, dining on the delicious entrees and sipping the finest wines that they have to offer. The Chicken Marsala is our favorite dish on the menu, or if you want to go a little lighter and just focus on the wine you could opt for the cheese plate. You can create your own wine flights here too, which is a very cool option. Firefly Grill & Wine Bar is located on North El Camino Real between Via Molena and Mountain Vista Drive.
Daley Double Cocktail Lounge
is an old fashioned dive bar, dim or downright dark, with cheap drinks and great bar food. The staff is friendly and quick to get your food and drink orders, and the crowds are here to escape from their hard work days and just relax with some likeminded people. Nothing fancy, just a hole in the wall bar that everybody in the area loves. You can find Daley Double on South Coast Highway 101 near the intersection with East E Street.
Beachside Bar & Grill
is another great bar in the area that we love, with mostly your standard bar food and some really good cheap (yet strong!) mixed drinks. The beer selection is nice too, and they've got a good amount of televisions scattered throughout the bar so you can catch that big game while you're scarfing down a big juicy burger. Very friendly service here too. You can find Beachside Bar & Grill on South Coast Highway 101 between West G Street and West H Street.
Roxy Restaurant & Ice Cream
is a restaurant and ice cream joint where you can indulge in a wide variety of foods and then finish it off with a delicious ice cream or a malt. The food covers a wide range, from Mexican to Italian, from American favorites to Irish pub food. We really love the sandwiches and wraps. No matter what you're craving you are sure to find it here at Roxy Restaurant & Ice Cream. You can find it on South Coast Highway 101 near the intersection with West E Street.
Swami's Cafe
is the best vegetarian restaurant in all of Leucadia and Encinitas! The dish that we keep coming back for is the Acai Bowl with soy milk. So unique and flavorful! They've also got wonderful falafel, and spinach tofu that really melts in your mouth! After you indulge in the wonderful entrees, you'll want to relax over a great dessert. How about one of their famous ice cream shakes? They're so delicious! We love the atmosphere here, and the service is also something to brag about. You can find this place at 1163 South Coast Highway 101.
Savory Restaurant
is a very nice casual restaurant where the offerings consist of primarily local seasonal items. If you're trying to be green and good to the environment, dining at Savory Restaurant is a nice choice! We're a big fan of their specialty, the Sea Bass, which is served during the dinner hours. The lunch menu is quite a bit smaller than the dinner menu, but it's still very good and definitely worth stopping in for a bite. You'll be able to locate Savory Restaurant on North El Camino Real between Via Molena and Mountain Vista Drive.
Leucadia Pizzeria
has always been one of our favorites in this area, mostly because they've got the very best pizza around! The pasta and salads are also worth a trip. The sauce is just perfectly sweet, and there's just the right amount of cheese and toppings to really set off the flavor of that sauce and of the crust. The pizza goes so nicely with their delicious salads, and we'd say the same of their pasta dishes too! All of these Italian specialties are just too good to believe. You can find Leucadia Pizzeria on South Coast Highway 101 near the intersection with West D Street.
Le Papagayo
is one of the most eclectic restaurants in the Leucadia and Encinitas area, with a beachy vibe and great live music that really keeps the energy level high. We love their mojitos here, they're so fresh and flavorful! Very refreshing. The Macadamia Nut Calamari is a really great dish that we would definitely recommend to you too. Everything on the menu has a French and Caribbean slant, and we can't get enough! You can find this island paradise on North Coast Highway 101 between Diana Street and Jasper Street.
El Callejon Restaurant
gets one of our very highest recommendations for their incredibly fresh Mexican fare! Their burritos, enchiladas, and tacos are some of the very best that we have ever tasted, and we always order them with a nice big side of guacamole to add some extra flavor to the mix! The fresh lime margaritas are to die for too, and they pair well with just about anything on the menu! If you're craving a spicy Mexican delight tonight, give El Callejon Restaurant a try, on South Coast Highway near the intersection with B Street.
Vigilucci's
may just be our very highest recommendation on this page, because they serve up the highest quality Italian food in the area. Purely unbelievable. We love all the entrees here, from the fresh pastas to the delicious steaks and the mouth watering seafood. The atmosphere is romantic and elegant, making it perfect for a special first date or perhaps a long term anniversary!
