has an unbelievable variety of dishes, all at very affordable prices. We love to come in for their club sandwiches and spaghetti, but everything on the menu is top notch so you really can't go wrong with anything that you order. Breakfast is wonderful here, so skip that other pancake place that you're so used to and give Campo Diner a try. You'll be really surprised by the high quality and the old fashioned service! La Posta Diner
is another wonderful diner that we'd heartily recommend to you. Only a quick drive from Campo in nearby Pine Valley, and the most pleasant part of this little getaway is that the food is homemade and so fresh. There's nothing like stopping in here off that dusty desert road for a hot fresh meal that really fills your tummy and satisfies your appetite. Wonderful service too. La Posta Diner is located in nearby Pine Valley, on Old Highway 80, near the intersection with Buckman Springs Road.
Barrett Junction Cafe
is a great little barbecue restaurant that's got excellent live music and a lively biker crowd. Everything here is country style, warm and inviting, and kind of old fashioned. We love the large dining area, and if you'd rather catch some sun while you nosh on those great treats, you can sit on the outdoor patio. Potrero General Store
is such a cool little place to stop in off the busy road and get what you need. There are lots of snacks and deli type food, plus grocery items. It's not a large store so the selection is a little bit limited, but we love that country vibe and especially the old fashioned friendly service! Very highly recommended when you just need a quick snack. Potrero General Store is located in nearby Potrero, at 25125 California 94.
Live Oaks Market
is mentioned in almost the same breath as Potrero General Store, because it's one of those friendly country markets where you can stop in for groceries, deli items, and even gas. There is no quicker place to get in and grab what you need. Fill up the tank, grab some goodies, maybe some meats and produce to take home with you so you don't have to stop at the supermarket... It's a one stop shop. You can find it at 37820 Old Highway 80.
Cafe 94
is a cozy little diner type restaurant, very family friendly with lots of variety on the menu. We're big fans of the Mexican items, including their fabulous Carne Asada Burrito, and of course the Torta! It's very basic here in terms of decor, but that starkness is quite charming and that's part of what we love about this place. The best part though? The excellent service. Cafe 94 is located in nearby Potrero, at 25275 Potrero Valley Road.
Majors Diner
is one of the more fun places to stop when you're traveling out of Campo into the Pine Valley area, because of its fun fifties style diner decor, along with the great customer service that goes hand in hand with that. They've got wonderful breakfasts, and burgers and fries that are really noteworthy too. We're big fans of the hash browns! Everything is fresh and fantastic. You can find Majors Diner in nearby Pine Valley, on Old Highway 80 near the intersection with Oak Lane.
Grove Steakhouse at Viejas Casino
is a little further drive from Campo than the other restaurants on this list, but we say it's worth it! It's by far the classiest restaurant in the area, with fabulous steaks, seafood, and so much more. We'd recommend the tomato Florentine soup and the filet medallions most highly, and that's what we order every time we go. And why not visit the casino before or after that great meal? This is an all in one entertainment destination! You can visit the Grove in nearby Alpine, at 5000 Willows Road.
Nori Sushi Bar & Grill
is located in nearby Alpine, and we think it's worth the trip for the high quality sushi and sashimi! We love sitting at the sushi bar and watching the expert sushi chefs preparing our wonderful meal, and they've also got plenty of other Japanese dishes for those who aren't brave enough to dive into the raw fish category just yet! Everyone in the area will tell you that this is the best sushi in the area, and we highly agree! You can find Nori Sushi Bar & Grill in nearby Alpine, at 5003 Willows Rd.
